It’s really no secret that we have the most beautiful baby girl in the whole world. I suppose that one day, she, like Sarah, will grow tired of modeling for me, but for now she’s just a ham for the camera. I was testing a new background for an upcoming Easter shoot; I love the vibrancy of the yellow. So bright and cheery, especially in the midst of a winter that seems to be lasting forever!

I received a phone call from my old friend David last week to see if I was available to photograph his son’s senior pictures… I have known this kid since he was in 1st grade and it is so odd that he should now be a senior. I must say that he is quite the accompished young musician and was so much fun to photograph. He just sort of did his own thing and took very little direction. Mike and Jessica Engagement

I got another chance to photograph Mike (and the soon to be Mrs. Lehman) last Wednesday. I photographed their engagement pictures last fall, but they recently purchased a new (older) home and wanted to show it off a little. From the front of the home (although cute) you would have no idea how spacious it is on the inside… Mike and Jessica really make this house a home and I look forward to their wedding next month.

I have been trying new locations for my recent engagement portraits…I really like the challenge of just showing up at a place that I have never photographed before and just going with it. I recently photographed Charlie & Stacy and Matt & Brandi just outside of the co-op in Bargersville. Both shoots gave great light and great subject material. Thanks guys!

Cassidy and Will

One thing I love about kids is the wide variety of emotions they show for the camera. I love it when you catch them in those moments that so typically sum up their personalities. My nephew Will, for example, is always happy…always. My neice Cassidy is probably the cutest 4 year old on the planet. And she is definitely not afraid to show her spunky attitude to the camera.

Brandon & Darcy Webb had one of the prettiest weddings that I have photographed at Valle Vista Country Club. Darcy was one of those brides that the camera just loved. I think Brandon saw that too…he couldn’t stop kissing her.

Devi Snively is a film maker,a connoisseur of horror movies, and a documentary professor at Notre Dame University. She is a true artist and a blast to work with, so when she asked if I’d be willing to take some shots for a new book she would be featured in, I jumped at the chance.

I love photographing weddings at the Indianapolis Zoo. There’s something about the freedom to move around outdoors that you don’t have inside a church. But I also love all the natural light available, and the Zoo has beautiful grounds and gardens. Pair that with a beautiful couple, and you’ve got some great shots.
